If only it took minimal effort to achieve greatness. But then we couldn’t really call it “heroism”. It would just be the ordinary.
Going above and beyond requires sacrifice. Job offers that advance your career aren’t always going to be in a nearby area. Reaching a specific goal may take working overtime. Getting further ahead than the rest may take a bit of creativity and extra dedication.
Don’t prevent yourself from doing the extra work because it’s hard or because no one else doing it. If no one else is doing it, all the better for you.
Laziness or complacency is the death of any and all advancement.
